Dear captains,

We will be approaching season 10 playoffs in 2 weeks time. There are a 
few important rules that we will strongly enforce in the playoffs, 
please make sure that you and your players are well aware


Rules:

JERSEYS : In playoffs, to minimize confusion of statistics and foul 
trouble issues, ALL players on team must wear same colour jersey with 
clear visible numbers. Only 1 no.0 or no number player is allowed. If 
numbers clash or jerseys clash colours with the other team, that player 
will NOT be allowed to played under any circumstances.

FAQ about rules :

Players Eligible to play : Only players who have played for at least 1 
game in the current season is allowed to play in playoffs. Those who 
were on team, injured or away will not be allowed to participate if they 
have not played this season. This will be strongly enforced to ensure 
fair play and have teams bring in strong players for playoffs. (more in 
ID check section)

Stop Clock : Hong Kong conference plays stop clock for all out of 
bounds, free throws, timeouts, and pauses in games, All other conference 
(kowloon, South A, South B, Women) plays on running clock, where clock 
is only stopped during timeouts, and final 2 minutes of the 4th quarter

Substitutions: Substitutions for all conferences can only be made during 
dead ball situation. No substitutions can be made during play, or in 
between free throws. Substitution can be made after second MADE free 
throw, if second free throw is missed, play continues.

how many until fouled out : Hong Kong conference players have 6 fouls, 
all other conferences players only have 5 fouls. Teams shoot each 
quarter on the 5th team foul.

Overtime : For All overtime situations, we will have a free throw 
elimination, this is due to court booking of 1 hour, and we can not go 
overtime. However, in Finals games, there will be 5 minutes of overtime 
play.




ID Checks:

to maintain fair play and to prevent strong players appearing only in 
playoffs, we will have an ID check each game in the playoffs, 
Scorekeepers will collect your ID to verify on the website that player 
has played during the season. This will also be double checked by me 
when statistics are uploaded. Teams who violates this rule will be 
disqualified and the win will be awarded to the opposing team.

Therefore captains please check the website before playoffs and make 
sure names on website is correct , if not then please email me so I can 
make changes.

Also we would like to update the website database so each individual 
player will have a profile picture. Captains please send in your 
player's profile pictures if you have, if not then I will be coming 
around before games to take some with my camera, so make sure you get 
your hair all ready and looking good for it!
